Often imitated but never equaled, our bamboo rattan pendant light is hand-woven using nothing but natural bamboo strips. It’s not mass-produced, never seen in big-box stores, and wouldn’t be caught dead on a factory assembly line. It’s authentically crafted right here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. When you closely inspect each individual basket shade, you’ll notice slight imperfections and small differences in size, shape, and tone. Full of character, woven by hand, created with love. As cheesy as it may sound, this authenticity is something we’re very passionate about.

How do I install a rattan pendant light?
Worried about a complicated installation? Don't be; installing your pendant light with one of our hardwired pendant kits is pretty simple. You simply secure the canopy mounting bracket to the ceiling, match and connect the wires, before finally attaching the canopy and hanging pendant kit to the mounting bracket. Full, detailed instructions are provided, making installation accessible to anyone, even without any prior experience. That said, if you're in any way uncertain, reach out to an electrician or qualified expert for a hand.
Can I customize the cord length of this pendant light?
Sure, all of our pendant kits are available customized to any length, at no extra cost. When selecting your pendant kit option, just enter your preferred cable length in the box that pops up. That's it. If nothing is entered, we will send you a cable set with a default length of 100cm (which we find is fine for most setups). The length of the cable is measured from the ceiling canopy to the bulb holder.Â
Does this pendant light come with a bulb?
The light bulb is not provided; however, any bulb with an E26 or E27 thread type will work. These are widely available both online and in-store, as they are probably the most commonly used bulb types worldwide. The style of the bulb is up to you; only the thread type is important. So, go wild, trying a ton of different shapes and color tones to find your perfect ambiance. Big, round Edison bulbs, long, thin LED bulbs—whatever takes your fancy, as long as the thread type is the same.

The lamp shade looks great and Saranya was very responsive when I emailed. The instructions were very helpful in shaping the lamp, but I want to mention for anyone else who might get the hard wired versions, the blue wire is negative and red is positive, just in case you might be as inapt as me with electrical wiring and need that info as I did, since it isn’t on the instructions.

I bought the shade only. It comes with a metal fitter that fits around my cord and holds the cord in the shade. The shade itself is great quality and makes great light patterns on the walls. The only problem I have is that the metal fitter sent with the shade is small and doesn’t fit the shade well. I made it work and appreciate that it was included.
