Large Bamboo Basket Shade Farmhouse Pendant Light

Currently incredibly trendy (but always great), farmhouse pendant lights blend a bunch of rustic, vintage, and industrial elements together, giving off a cozy, welcoming vibe. They're all about natural materials, simple but classy designs, and a mix of old-school and modern elements. Bamboo and other wooden materials play a key role in farmhouse styling, the organic textures countering the industrial flourishes. Our farmhouse pendant light creations can work with various different bulbs. First off, you just need the compatible thread type - E26 and E27. These are the everyday thread types you find everywhere. Then, go wild and experiment, find the perfect bulb shape, style and tone to match your look.

If you're into that rustic, old-school feel, grab some vintage Edison bulbs with those cool exposed filaments. You'll see them in our pics a lot as they're our go-to, especially in a soft, warm tone. LED bulbs are a solid choice too. They're energy-efficient, and on top of that, they come in all sorts of colors and brightness levels. The beautiful natural hues of bamboo can work with anything, so the choice is yours, really.

Installing a farmhouse pendant light is simple. Full instructions are provided with your pendant, but here's a quick summary to give you some idea of what to expect:

• First, kill the power at your main junction box – don't forget this step, safety first!
• If there's an old light, unscrew it and take it down, making sure to disconnect any previous wiring.
• After that, grab the mounting bracket that came with your pendant light and fix it onto the ceiling box with some screws.
• Connect your wires– live to live, neutral to neutral. They're color coded so it's easy to figure them out.
• Tuck the wires into the ceiling hole or box, align the holes on the bracket with the pendant canopy plate and screw it in. Power back on, test everything, all good.

Anyone can do it, but you're not feeling confident, call in an electrician or someone with experience.

This particular pendant shade is available only in one size, although other sizes can be made by request. We do have a rustic pendant light in a very similar style, available in three different sizes. The main difference is a 'neck' section on the top of the basket in addition to the standard basket weave. Besides the addition of the neck, the baskets are woven in the same style.
