A white and cream ottoman featuring ethnic hill tribe fabric with uniquely beautiful indigo dye staining. Also available in a blue and white ottoman version.

A potent combination of light and neutral colors (white, cream, ivory, etc.) with rich indigo hues allows this ottoman to work well in any space while adding an eye-catching touch.

Far from bland, the hill tribe textile we’ve used here features a striking line design on thick cotton. Hand-applied indigo plant-dyed patterns travel around the ottoman, with subtle dye staining throughout.

We’ve professionally finished this cushion with locally woven cream cotton on top and bottom, corded borders using the same fabric, and finally, a hidden zip enclosure underneath.

This ottoman is available as a cover only or combined with an organic kapok insert.

We’ve lovingly repurposed a unique Hill Tribe textile to create this white and cream ottoman pouf cushion.

It’s a stunning ethnic ottoman that you won’t find anywhere else—a truly one-of-a-kind piece that is perfect for adding ethnic flair to your living space. A comfortable cushion that makes a sustainable statement.

The fabric used is thick cotton with hand-applied indigo plant-dyed lines that traverse the cushion, with subtle staining throughout. We’ve sourced it directly from the hill tribe communities in northern Thailand, notably the Hmong.

The top and bottom sections feature locally produced off-white cream cotton. We’ve used the same fabric to add refined cord borders, too.

ENJOY AN ORGANIC OTTOMAN CUSHION INSERT

Each of our cushions is offered in two options: cover only or complete with matching insert.

This cream ottoman pouf is no exception. If you have an insert already or plan on using a specific type of fill material, shoot for the cover only. Whether you use buckwheat, feathers, those little beanbag balls, or anything else, it’s simply a matter of unzipping the bottom section and stuffing your fill material inside.

If you opt for an additional insert from us, we’ll provide a white cotton insert filled with organic kapok. Not sure what kapok is? We’ve got a short article explaining the benefits of kapok as a pillow and cushion filling, but if you’re short on time, it’s a natural fiber sourced from the Ceiba tree. Organic, odorless, soft, and non-toxic. An ideal sustainable cushion filling material that is widely used throughout Asia.
