A large, blue and white ottoman cushion with authentic hill tribe character.

We’ve crafted this beauty using a vintage ethnic fabric that has a distinctive indigo-dyed design. Hand-applied lines and motifs are embedded in the fabric, while subtle dye staining seeps into the larger areas.

The deep indigo hues—those beautiful dark blue tones—perfectly contrast with the white fabric base. A softly textured, locally produced cotton in a similar blue shade is used for the top and bottom sections.

Understated cotton cord borders add a touch of contemporary class, while a hidden zipper underneath makes for convenient filling or cover removal.

This ottoman is available as a cover only or combined with an organic kapok insert.

Also available in a white and cream ottoman version.

Filled with kapok, it’s a sustainable ottoman option that is both gorgeous to look at and, most importantly, incredibly comfortable to sit on!

READY-FILLED KAPOK INSERTS FOR OTTOMANS AND POUFS

Each of our cushions is offered in two options: cover only or complete with matching insert.

This cream ottoman pouf is no exception. If you have an insert already or plan on using a specific type of fill material, shoot for the cover only. Whether you use buckwheat, feathers, those little beanbag balls, or anything else, it’s simply a matter of unzipping the bottom section and stuffing your fill material inside.

If you opt for an additional insert from us, we’ll provide a white cotton insert filled with organic kapok. Not sure what kapok is? We’ve got a short article explaining the benefits of kapok as a pillow and cushion filling, but if you’re short on time, it’s a natural fiber sourced from the Ceiba tree. Organic, odorless, soft, and non-toxic. An ideal sustainable cushion filling material that is widely used throughout Asia.

REMOVABLE COVER - EASY MAINTENANCE AND WASHING

If you’re worried about keeping this ottoman looking clean, don’t be! Despite this fabric being a rare piece, it can be washed by hand without issue. The ottoman cover itself can easily be filled, removed, or turned inside out thanks to a handy zipper enclosure on the bottom section.

While you could probably machine wash the cushion cover, we don’t recommend it. A simple soak and scrub in warm water will do the trick. Feel free to use a little washing powder, and then hang in the shade or sun to dry (inside out is best).
