This unique light fixture is made by repurposing a large woven basket that is commonly used by farmers in Southeast Asia.

It’s a relatively simple design that features thick woven strips of bamboo, carefully intertwined to create a loose basket shape.

It would be used to hold tea leaves, cabbages, and other produce in the mountainous regions where organic farmers carry on local traditions, growing and picking organic plants and fruits.

As a light shade, it brings a unique touch and breezy, coastal feel to your home. It also makes a fantastic talking point and light feature in general.

The basket shade is available to purchase on its own, or you can pair it with one of our versatile plug-in pendant light kits. If you’d prefer a hardwired option, we also have the same repurposed light shade with a ceiling canopy light fixture.

Essentially, the cord needs to go from the outlet where it’s plugged in all the way to wherever you’re suspending it. Thankfully, you can choose the length of your light cord when selecting your light fixture, so feel free to add any specific measurements there, and we’ll make it to that length for you.
