Classic Lanna Passa Thai Bamboo Fishing Trap Pendant Light – Black – Plug In / Swag

Our popular classic, the original Thai bamboo fishing trap, re-purposed into a beautifully minimalistic pendant light and dyed a gorgeous black shade.

The in-genius weave design means that the basket is compressible/expandable and can achieve many shapes and positions – the oblong shape is the natural position/shape, while other shapes are achieved simply by compressing from each end, and tying the supplied string inside to pull taut to then hold in desired position.

Each is unique, bamboo is gathered and the basket woven by Northern Thai village artisans, where they would be used as fishing traps, storage, or simply decoration.

A hanging lamp holder can be adjusted with an adjustable metal support bracket so that you can position your bulb anywhere inside the pendant, along with a choice of cable sets to match your style/theme – black, white, or natural wood and rope. Alternatively, you can purchase just the basket pendant itself without a cable set and add your own, or use it as decoration.

Various sizes available – For reference, the basket in the majority of pics is size L. Measurements and fine details below.

The default cable length is 100cm as standard. If you require a different/specific length (any length up to 10 meters, e.g 135cm), please add your request in the order notes at checkout – there is no extra charge.

A switch is available for white & black cable sets (unavailable for the natural cable set) – the switch is placed on the cable at 50cm from the plug as default. If you require it placed at a different position, or require no cable switch at all, simply add your requirement in the order notes.
