Yes, all of our hill tribe textiles are sustainably sourced, including the fabric used for this hemp ottoman. We source our textiles from the hill tribe communities and textile markets of Northern Thailand. The textiles are handwoven and dyed using traditional methods, such as indigo plant dyeing and hand-applied batik.

Washing the hemp ottoman cover:

When washing your hemp ottoman cover, avoid using harsh chemicals and soaps as these can damage vintage textiles. Wash by hand in warm water and allow to shade dry.

If you've opted for our ottoman & insert combo, the cotton insert can be washed in a machine or by hand, just don't forget to remove the kapok before washing!
