COTTON AND SILK COMBINE IN A RARE VINTAGE PILLOW COVER

This ethnic pillow cover features a rare textile that we’ve sourced from the Tai Lue hill tribe. Its original form was that of a woven blanket, which had gained holes and wear over several decades. We cut out sections that were in relatively good condition and created the pillow cover you see before you.

We managed to make four pillow covers from the main textile. Check out all four Tai Lue pillow covers.

Pillow covers with kapok filled inserts for a sustainable, eco-friendly home.
We use genuine hill tribe textiles to create our cushions and pillows.

SILK, COTTON, AND SUSTAINABLE PILLOW FILLING

We offer all of our pillow covers with an optional cotton insert filled with kapok. What is kapok, I hear you ask? Also known as java or silk cotton, it’s an eco-friendly pillow stuffing material found in seed pods of the Ceiba tree.

It’s renowned for its luxurious softness, sustainability, hypoallergenic properties, and just general organic awesomeness. We love it.

Of course, you don’t have to use our inserts; you can fill them yourself. We make fully lined pillow covers that can easily be filled with any material, whether feathers, down, buckwheat husks, etc.
